About Me

Hi All!

I am Haven Moss, a small town girl who loves all things about Kindergarten. I was born in raised in the great state of Alabama. ROLL TIDE!! Yes, you guessed it. I am a Southern girl who LOVES Alabama football. I actually graduated from the University of Alabama in the Fall of 2012. I also met the man of my dreams in 2012.

Okay, so I didn't actually "meet" him because I have known him my entire life, but I began to look at him in a different light. Make sense? He used to be the older brother of one of my besties and he was my brother's best friend. Trust me...we didn't every think we would look at each other in that "lovey" way, but I am so thankful we did. He is the one that my heart has fallen for.
Apologies for getting all sappy, but I do love that man! Oh and that man's name is Clay. He is now my husband. We just celebrated our second wedding anniversary at the beginning of this month.
Back on track... Clay and I both grew up in Alabama in a very small town that bordered Tennessee. Last year, Summer of 2015, we purchased our first home together in Tennessee. We completed renovated our home over my Summer break. So glad the renovating is over! I will post pics very soon:)

So, now we are living in Tennessee with our boykin spaniel, Hobie.
Clay and I enjoy kayaking, boating, camping, riding ATV's, dove hunting, etc. Basically, we love being outside. I also have a deep passion for running. Did I mention that I am addicted to my Fitbit? True story!

Let's get back to my love of teaching. This is my fourth year as a KG teacher at SPES. I never thought I wanted to teach in the lower grades, but now I cannot see myself teaching any other grade. I love seeing my sweet kinders coming into KG with little knowledge on reading, writing, and mathematics, and then seeing them transform into reading and writing machines before they leave me for First Grade. Kindergarten is such a rewarding grade to teach. Even though I may not know everything about KG, I sure do love sharing what we do inside our classroom.
I hope you follow along on my teaching journey, share insights, and find something that you can utilize in your classroom.

Lots of Love & Happy Teaching!
